Behnisch Architekten is an architectural practice with its primary office in Stuttgart, Germany, and further locations in Munich, Boston, and Weimar. The firm originated in 1989 when Stefan Behnisch established it as a branch of his father Günter Behnisch’s renowned office. It became an independent enterprise in 1991 and adopted the name Behnisch Architekten in 2005. The Stuttgart base has been a constant throughout the company’s development.
The leadership structure is collaborative, with the Stuttgart office currently managed by partners including Jörg Usinger, Michael Innerarity, and Florian Waller alongside other partners at the various offices.
