A69 – Architekti is an architectural studio currently based in Prague, Czechia, originally founded in Cheb in 1994 by Boris Redčenkov and Prokop Tomášek, with Jaroslav Wertig joining in 1997. The firm adopted its present name in 2003. All three founding partners were born in 1969 and are graduates of the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University. Their office has completed dozens of realized buildings and hundreds of projects across a wide range of scales and functions throughout the Czech Republic.
Notably, A69 operates in residential, public, educational, healthcare, office, and urban planning sectors. Their work includes single-family houses, apartment blocks, neighborhood developments, public institutions, and urban transformation schemes. Among their prominent current projects are the Smíchov City masterplan in Prague—featuring 15,000 square meters of new offices, markets, and apartments—and the redevelopment of the Florenc bus station area. Past significant works include the Sanatorium Dr. Peták in Františkovy Lázně, EggO House in Prague, and the Villa Lea in Slatina.
Members of the studio have also contributed to education as university lecturers. A69 has received several industry recognitions, such as the Grand Prix – National Architecture Award and the BigMat International Architecture Award for their Prototype House in Posázaví. Their designs are regularly published both at home and abroad, and the team remains active in both design and architectural discourse.
