Sheridan Park & Junia is a cooperative housing project in Augsburg, Germany, on the former Sheridan barracks site in the city’s west. The project developer is Planungsgemeinschaft Sheridan Park Junia GbR, identified on the project website as its author. 1
The project group received the site assignment in 2021 after putting forward a social and sustainable housing concept. The city began the plot-allocation process in March 2022, and the group completed the land purchase in March 2023. Construction began later that year. 27
The development consists of three houses with 33 apartments and an osteopathy practice. Shared facilities include a community room, guest apartment, bicycle workshop, workshop and Kulturschuppen. The website describes the project’s approach as combining timber construction, green roofs and shared resources. 1 The practice, Haltungswerk Osteopathie, is run by Mareike Özcan, whose work includes patients of all ages, with a particular focus on pregnant people, newborns and children. 1
The buildings’ shells were complete by September 2024, and the project chronology records the final apartment handover in May 2025. It also documents a community celebration the following month, marking the transition from construction to shared residential life. 2 Lattke Architekten led the architectural work, while PLAN-Z Architekten handled project management. 3
