Osiedle im. Juliusza Słowackiego is a residential estate in Lublin, Poland, developed by Lubelska Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa (LSM). LSM was established on 25 April 1957; construction of the Słowackiego estate began in the second quarter of 1964. 7
Architects Oskar and Zofia Hansen designed the estate. Its planning drew on Oskar Hansen’s ideas of Open Form and the Linear Continuous System, with an emphasis on connecting residential areas, shared facilities and open space. 410 The design separated the estate into a northern service and access zone—with roads, parking and utility areas—and a southern residential and recreational zone intended primarily for pedestrians. 4
The first 172 homes were occupied in 1965, and construction continued through 1972. The completed estate comprised 18 residential buildings and 1,957 apartments, according to Teatr NN’s account. 4 A separate historical overview reports the estate’s area as 16.2 hectares, including about 10 hectares of green space. 11
Today, the estate is administered by LSM’s Administration No. 2. The cooperative’s estate page lists ongoing management and maintenance activity, including building inspections, stairwell and balcony repairs, thermal modernisation, and improvements to shared outdoor spaces. 2 The page excerpt supplied for this research also lists 2026 works and notices, including balcony repairs at Skierki 1 and building thermomodernisation.
