Timbeco, established in 1993 by the Leisalu family near Tallinn, Estonia, began as a producer of handmade log houses before evolving into a group specializing in prefabricated timber buildings. The company operates in Tõdva, approximately 25 minutes from Tallinn, with facilities covering 9,200 square meters of production and 10,100 square meters of storage. Timbeco’s operations span the design, manufacture, and project management of modular and element-based timber buildings for residential, commercial, and public use.
Originally named Palktare, Timbeco rebranded in 2011 and steadily expanded its technical capacity with automatic CNC machinery and advanced IT systems. Between 2018 and 2022, the company invested in production automation, expanded its buildings, and introduced robotic warehousing. By 2022, Timbeco reached a record turnover of €16.2 million despite market volatility and rising material costs.
Timbeco’s portfolio includes notable international projects such as the Helsinki Central Library in Finland, modular gas stations, nursery schools in Sweden, and complex apartment building facades in Norway. In Estonia, it launched projects like the Vaela modular kindergarten. The organization exports primarily to Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, and maintains longstanding business ties with Japan.
The company places significant emphasis on sustainability, producing energy-efficient structures and issuing ESG reports.
