ADR s.r.o. is an architectural firm based in Prague, Czechia, founded by architects Aleš Lapka and Petr Kolář in 1996. The founders began their collaboration in 1992 while studying at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Today, the studio consists of approximately forty architects and engineers, delivering both new construction and renovation projects, interior design, furniture design, exhibition concepts, and complex project management.
ADR’s portfolio is diverse, comprising residential buildings, hospitality venues, and public infrastructure. Notable recent projects include the transformation of the Trautenberk Microbrewery, the Javornická distillery, and the award-winning Hotel Stages in Prague. The studio has also completed distinctive reconstructions such as the Megapixel showroom network, the Elektra Primary School and Kindergarten, and the Velaa Private Island in the Maldives.
ADR’s work is characterized by careful integration of new architectural elements with historical environments and a collaborative approach with visual artists. Their expertise extends to contractor selection, supply management, investment planning, and engineering oversight. Over its nearly three decades, ADR has received numerous accolades, including the Grand Prix of Architects and the Red Dot Award in industrial design.
