Wohnungsbau-Genossenschaft Kiel-Ost eG is a housing cooperative based in Kiel, Germany, serving the city’s eastern districts and surrounding area. Its registered address is Poppenrade 5, 24148 Kiel. 34 The cooperative traces its origins to the Arbeiterbauverein für Gaarden, Kiel und Umgebung, founded on 30 December 1889; it adopted its present name in 1990. 5 Its history is closely connected with the development of Ellerbek and Wellingdorf on the eastern shore of Kiel Fjord. 5
