Spar- und Bauverein eG Dortmund is a housing cooperative headquartered at Kampstraße 51 in Dortmund, Germany. It was established on 4 March 1893 as a self-help initiative responding to housing shortages among workers and employees; Wilhelm Unverhau was a leading figure in its founding. 56
The cooperative manages around 12,000 homes, 2,500 garages and more than 80 commercial units across the greater Dortmund area. Its housing is located in almost all Dortmund districts, as well as in nearby Unna and Holzwickede. 114 Its main purpose is to provide members with good, secure and socially responsible housing.
