Solidarity Foundation (Leroy Merlin Solidarité) is a charitable organization based near Kyiv, Ukraine, created in October 2022 by Leroy Merlin Ukraine and the ADEO group to support civilians affected by the ongoing war. Its primary activities involve the reconstruction of private housing and social infrastructure damaged by hostilities. The Foundation focuses on providing both temporary and permanent accommodation solutions for people who have lost their homes, responding specifically to urgent needs for shelter and support following Russian attacks.
Since its establishment, the Foundation has carried out over 70 projects across eight regions in Ukraine. Notable examples include refurbishing the tallest residential building (Synergy 2+) in Irpen, enabling more than 1,000 residents to return home. A hospital refurbishment in Itchnia ensured continued access to medical care for 22,000 people. Temporary shelters in Lviv have accommodated 1,650 people since mid-2023, offering up to three months of housing as individuals work toward more stable living conditions. The Foundation has also developed mobile hospital units capable of treating up to 60 people daily in areas lacking medical infrastructure.
The organization is sustained mainly by contributions from ADEO, with over €100,000 allocated to single projects such as residential rehabilitation. Its work is marked by collaboration with other NGOs and a clear commitment to pragmatic solutions and transparency. As of 2025, Solidarity Foundation continues to expand its focus, actively rebuilding war-torn communities and supporting displaced Ukrainians, while maintaining a practical and results-oriented approach.
