Founded in late 2009, Pluspuu has carved a niche in the Finnish construction sector with its focus on ecological, customizable homes suited for the country’s demanding climate. The company’s house kits are produced by Ollikaisen Hirsirakenne Oy, a manufacturer with over four decades of experience in log house construction.
Pluspuu’s collection offers more than a dozen models, ranging from compact recreational cottages to larger multi-level villas suitable for permanent residency. The structures use non-settling logs and column-and-beam construction, which minimizes wood warping and maintenance. Customization is a core part of Pluspuu’s process; each design is tailored to the owner’s preferences and plot-specific requirements. Noteworthy projects include a summer house on a Baltic Sea island for a Helsinki family and the Kustavi 125 villa in Turku, which served as a second home and introduced new features to the Pluspuu lineup.
