Phenix Capital Group, based in Amsterdam, was founded in 2012 as an impact investing intelligence provider and advisory. The organisation’s primary focus is to support institutional investors seeking to allocate capital toward investments aligned with environmental and social outcomes, notably those related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since inception, Phenix Capital Group has seen the impact investment landscape grow, estimating that €701 billion has been raised by impact funds since 2015, reflecting significant expansion across asset classes such as private equity, public equity, infrastructure, biodiversity, and the blue economy.
Phenix Capital Group's activities include maintaining an Impact Funds Database, publishing sector-specific impact reports, hosting educational seminars for institutional asset owners, and providing fund advisory and fundraising consulting. Notably, their advisory team has steered over €1 billion in assets under management toward impact investments. In July 2025, the investment advisory services will separate as a new business, PCG Impact, to focus exclusively on impact strategy design and portfolio management.
