Otto Wulff Bauunternehmung is a family-owned construction and real estate company, headquartered in Hamburg since its establishment in 1932. It has grown over three generations to operate throughout Germany, with additional offices in Berlin and Leipzig. The company is firmly rooted in Hamburg: since its founding, it has continuously occupied the same property in the city’s eastern district, and recently completed a modern headquarters and workplace expansion there in 2023.
Otto Wulff’s activities cover high-rise construction, property development, specialist civil engineering, public-private partnerships, and property management. Its construction arm plans and builds residential and commercial properties, often acting as a general contractor, and also undertakes renovations and facade work. The specialist civil engineering division tackles complex tasks such as constructing excavation pits, groundwater management, building underpinning, and foundation engineering.
The company has completed notable projects in Hamburg, including the modular construction and refurbishment of school buildings—19 schools totaling about 20,000 square meters, with more projects ongoing. In 2024, Otto Wulff delivered the shell of the new Sophienschule in Hamburg, marking its entry into timber hybrid construction. The new school facility accommodates up to 360 children and features a rooftop playground.
Management remains in family hands, currently overseen by Stefan Wulff, Sönke Wagener, and Nils Wendler. Otto Wulff employs several hundred staff and emphasizes adaptability and precise technical planning in its work on contemporary urban developments.
