LRC Group, established in 1995 by Israeli investor Yehuda Barashi, is a pan-European private equity real estate investment firm based in several European cities, including Dublin. Since entering the Irish market in 2017, LRC has rapidly become one of the country’s largest institutional landlords, amassing a portfolio of over 2,000 residential properties, predominantly in Dublin and Cork, as well as other regions such as Galway, Limerick, and Mayo. Their Irish acquisitions have included large housing portfolios and hotel properties, notably through the €150 million purchase of 600 homes from Oaktree and significant investments in Cork, instantly making them one of the largest landlords in the region.
LRC’s investment strategy specializes in distressed assets, focusing on residential and hospitality sectors. In Ireland alone, LRC-owned properties are frequently held through Cypriot-registered subsidiaries and managed by agencies like Home Club Ltd. Income from government-supported Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) tenants has exceeded €3.4 million for 2023 and 2024 combined.
Beyond residential, LRC is active in hotel investment. It owns Amaris Hospitality, overseeing over 30 hotels, including Hilton-branded properties, in the UK and Ireland. Group-wide, LRC claims property assets exceeding €5 billion, with recent figures suggesting this may have grown to €6 billion as they continue expanding their portfolio across Europe.
LRC’s business practices—such as frequent evictions during tenancy cycles and holding property through complex structures—have attracted public scrutiny and political attention in Ireland.
