Lagoom Living is a Spanish real estate investment management company focused on developing and operating affordable rental housing. Established in Malaga in June 2022, it handles full-cycle projects from land acquisition to operations, with an initial commitment of over 1,000 homes and 170 million euros in investment.
Its flagship initiative, Distrito Universidad in Malaga's Teatinos area, is Spain's first smart city for subsidised rentals, featuring 530 units at an average of 600 euros monthly. Developed via public-private partnerships with Andalusian authorities, Malaga City Council, and national bodies, it secured 59.3 million euros from ICO in 2025, backed by EU NextGenerationEU funds. Construction by Sacyr reached 32% completion that year, with first deliveries planned for early 2026.
Other Malaga projects include Zeta District with 292 homes and urban regeneration yielding 158 units, plus a recent award for 114 dwellings in Cortijo Merino. The company plans 3,000 homes total, eyeing expansion to Madrid, Valencia, Extremadura, and Seville. Based in Malaga, it eyes Madrid-area opportunities amid Spain's housing shortages. Co-founders include Filip Gil, Martin Berchtold, and CEO Javier Braza.
