ARREL is an Andorra-based initiative working at the intersection of architecture, urban planning and territorial development. It is promoted by TAMY Estudi d’Arquitectura i Urbanisme and focuses on shaping projects around local social and environmental conditions.3
Its approach is to support projects from early-stage analysis through to implementation. ARREL describes three steps: understanding local dynamics, needs and available resources; structuring a viable project, including its legal, financial and operational arrangements; and coordinating public, private and community participants as the project progresses.3 Its stated audiences include public administrations, collectives, property owners, project initiators and investors. The organisation’s website also presents its work as a collaboration network for projects responding to social, environmental and territorial challenges.3
Cooperative housing is a particular area of work. ARREL is developing housing models based on use-right cooperatives, in which homes are held by a cooperative rather than treated as speculative property.3 In 2026, it presented public bodies in Andorra with a proposal for a pilot cooperative-housing project and said it was discussing possible sites with local authorities.13
ARREL’s geographic scope is Andorra; its LinkedIn page lists its headquarters as Andorra, without naming a city.12 Pierre Fauré, an architect and urban planner, identifies himself as an ARREL co-founder and describes the initiative’s work on cooperative housing and project structuring.11 The available sources identify January 2024 as the start of his co-founder role, but do not establish a formal founding date for the organisation.11
