Archimatika is an architectural and urban planning company established in 2005 and headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine. Founded by Dmytro Vasyliev and Aleksandr Popov, the firm began as a four-person operation and has grown to more than 270 employees, making it one of the largest architectural practices in Ukraine. Their team includes architects, engineers, and designers, supported by the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies for workflow integration and decision-making.
Archimatika specializes in large-scale residential and mixed-use developments, as well as city district planning. Since its founding, the company has designed more than 9.4 million square meters of residential and public buildings, with over 1.9 million square meters completed and operational. Current ongoing projects cover around 3.5 million square meters, and their portfolio includes complexes such as Comfort Town, Respublika, and Faina Town in Kyiv. Notably, the Comfort Town project occupies 40 hectares and features approximately 8,500 apartments, shops, schools, and recreational facilities. It was the first residential complex in Ukraine to deviate from Soviet micro-district principles, focusing instead on block-based development and vibrant color schemes.
The company also tackles social and urban infrastructure projects, including school reconstruction. Archimatika's reach extends internationally, with an office in Oslo. Their approach prioritizes practical, context-sensitive solutions, informed by both financial constraints and urban needs, aiming to enhance urban environments and project value without relying on decorative embellishments.
