Treed It is a mixed-use development in Champs-sur-Marne, within the Cité Descartes in eastern Paris. The project was developed by ADIM Paris Île-de-France, the property-development subsidiary of VINCI Construction France, in an area planned by EpaMarne. Construction began in March 2019. 212
The project grew out of a proposal by ADIM to EpaMarne in 2015 for a development on the V1 site of the ZAC de la Haute-Maison; the project was later named Treed It. The 23,000 m² complex was designed by Saison Menu Architectes Urbanistes and Art’Ur architectes, and built by VINCI Construction France subsidiaries Sicra Île-de-France and Arbonis. 212
Its residential component provides 624 places across three buildings: 284 social student units for 3F Résidences, 120 homes for young workers commissioned by Arcade, and 220 student homes in a timber-frame tower developed for investor Kley. 2 The tower has 11 floors, reaches 37 metres and combines a timber frame with a concrete core; residents have shared facilities including kitchens, leisure areas and coworking space. 38
The wider development also includes ground-floor shops, a three-level shared parking structure and a building designed for flexible use. The latter was planned to accommodate a health centre and offices. 211 The residential buildings were delivered in 2021; the health-centre and office building was scheduled for delivery in 2022. 211
The project’s named design leads are the two architecture practices; available sources do not identify individual project founders or leaders. 212
