ZROBIM architects is an international architectural and design firm established in 2011 by Andrus Bezdar and Alexey Korablyov. The company began in Belarus and has since grown to operate from seven offices worldwide, including locations in Minsk, New York, Florida, Tbilisi, Kyiv, Almaty, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg. The team now includes more than 80 professionals, who work on a diverse range of projects encompassing residential, commercial, educational, and public architecture.
The studio is recognized for a specific design approach termed “natural minimalism.” This is characterized by the use of earthy color palettes, natural and sustainable materials, and minimalist forms. ZROBIM architects integrate influences from both European minimalism and Belarusian traditions, resulting in modern yet regionally resonant projects. They are involved in all stages of projects, from conception and planning to interior design, landscape architecture, and even custom furniture under their BY Furniture brand.
ZROBIM’s portfolio exceeds 1,000 projects across five continents, including private houses, public buildings, cottage communities, and recreational centers. An example of their work in Hungary is the private house interior in Budapest, designed according to refined minimalist principles based on extensive material research and attention to background harmonies.
Recent recognition includes being named Best Eastern Europe Studio of the Year 2023 by BUILD, alongside features in publications like ArchDaily and Dezeen. Their work is characterized by thoughtful responses to contemporary needs, local context, and sustainable practices—offering distinct perspectives through both completed structures and design communication channels.
