Woonbedrijf is a housing corporation based in Eindhoven, serving the Brainport region of the Netherlands. Its work covers Eindhoven, Helmond, Veldhoven, Geldrop-Mierlo, Best, Valkenswaard and Son en Breugel. 1 Its headquarters are at Wal 2 in Eindhoven. 3
The organisation provides and manages housing, including student accommodation under the Vestide name, and works on building, renovating and maintaining homes. It also works with residents and local partners on neighbourhood liveability, with residents’ experiences informing its approach. 15 Woonbedrijf describes its role as supporting the region’s growth by building homes, improving existing housing and contributing to neighbourhoods where residents can participate in community life. 1
Woonbedrijf grew out of two housing corporations, Hhvl and SWS. They began working together in 1999, established Woonbedrijf on 1 April 2005, and formally completed their merger in November 2006. 1 The organisation reported 34,764 homes and 471 employees in 2024; its 2024 annual overview also recorded more than 70,000 residents. 21 Its geographic scope is regional rather than national, with activity concentrated in seven municipalities in and around Eindhoven. 1
