Wingårdhs Arkitektkontor AB is a Swedish architecture firm founded by Gert Wingårdh in 1977, with offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Malmö. Since 1985, the firm has maintained a significant presence in Stockholm, where it oversees a broad range of commissions. Today, Wingårdhs employs between 150 and 200 staff, including architects, interior designers, engineers, visualizers, and administrative personnel from diverse backgrounds.
Known for an artistic approach to architecture, the practice’s portfolio covers public buildings, commercial spaces, residential housing, interiors, and urban planning. Notable Stockholm-related projects include the restoration of Nationalmuseum, the Aula Medica at Karolinska Institutet, Radisson Collection Strand Hotel renovations, the Scandic Victoria Tower, and the recent extension to Liljevalchs Art Gallery. Their assignments extend internationally, with work such as the Swedish Embassy buildings in Berlin and Washington D.C.
