West Granton Housing Co-operative Limited (WGHC) is a fully mutual housing co-operative and registered social landlord based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Residents formed it in 1990 to provide rented homes in West Granton, an area then dominated by council housing with low demand; it is registered with the Scottish Housing Regulator. 25
WGHC’s work is focused on north-west Edinburgh. It owns 372 homes across West Granton and nearby parts of North Edinburgh, including Granton and Ferry Road Avenue, and also owns two play-park areas. 24 Its housing services include tenancy and estate management, support to sustain tenancies, property allocations, rent-arrears management, and planned and responsive repairs and maintenance. 3
The co-operative is led by chief executive Larke Adger, who reports to its Committee of Management; the regulator lists her as its senior officer. 35 WGHC has a small staff team supporting its housing, maintenance and finance functions. 3 Its activities are local rather than national: the regulator identifies it as not being a national operator, and its homes are concentrated in one part of Edinburgh. 211
In June 2025, WGHC was recognised as an Investor in Excellence, following a commitment to the framework in 2023. 12 The organisation says it is continuing its work with the Excellence Framework in Housing. 12
