Trudo is a housing association based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Its roots date to 1916, when the Trudo housing association was established; the present Stichting Trudo was formed in 1994 through a merger with the municipal housing company. 1 Its main office is at Philitelaan 308 in Eindhoven. 3
The organisation’s stated mission is “Supporting People”. It describes its work as focused not only on housing, but also on helping residents find opportunities, participate in supportive communities and improve their prospects. 1 Its activities include social and affordable housing, neighbourhood renewal, housing support for people with additional needs, and projects that connect residents with community organisations. 113
Trudo also offers homes for sale through Slimmer Kopen®, a scheme developed by the organisation to make homeownership more accessible; its sales partnership covers existing and newly built homes in Eindhoven and the surrounding area. 1214 Its neighbourhood and redevelopment work includes projects in Woensel-West, Kruidenbuurt, Strijp-S and Eikenburg. 13 The wider housing association operates in Eindhoven, Helmond, Deurne and Eersel. 15
