Stavební bytové družstvo Hlubina Ostrava-Zábřeh is a housing cooperative based in Ostrava-Zábřeh, Czech Republic. It was founded on 10 April 1964 as Stavební bytové družstvo zaměstnanců Dolu Hlubina, n.p. Ostrava, and later adopted its current name.13 Its headquarters are at Rudná 1131/70, Ostrava-Zábřeh.34
The cooperative’s original and continuing purpose is to address members’ housing needs. Its activities have included organising and carrying out residential and non-residential construction, operating buildings, and arranging repairs, maintenance and services connected with the use of homes and other premises.1 It also offers property-management services to outside organisations under contract, including accounting and service-charge administration, coordination of suppliers and inspections, and oversight of maintenance and renovation work.1112
The cooperative’s work is centred on Ostrava and its surrounding area; the sources describe its registered location in Ostrava-Zábřeh and its local housing-management operations, rather than a national or international remit.311 Its 2023 annual report says it owned 979 rental apartments occupied by its members and managed a total of 4,567 apartments in use.14 Viktorie Matisová is identified in that report as chair of the board, and Ing. Petr Kuča is listed on the cooperative’s contacts page as director of administration.1413
