Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa „Budowlani” is a housing cooperative based in Bydgoszcz, Poland. It was established on 29 January 1958, when 24 members founded its predecessor, the Workers’ Housing Cooperative; the name “Budowlani” was adopted in 1967.1 Its registered office is at Tadeusza Boya-Żeleńskiego 1 in Bydgoszcz.13
The cooperative’s work centres on housing development, property management and administration. Its website reports that it manages more than 13,000 dwellings, as well as hundreds of commercial units and garages, and provides management services to several housing communities.1 It also describes maintenance and modernisation of its housing stock, including building upkeep, safety measures and improvements to the surrounding grounds.1
Its activity is focused on Bydgoszcz: the organisation lists its headquarters and residential-administration locations in the city, and promotes local housing projects, including a development at Chodkiewicza 66.17 Alongside housing and property services, it supports social and cultural activity through Dom Kultury „Modraczek”; the cultural centre’s history page traces the cooperative’s community programming back to the club „Czołówka” on the Błonie estate.11
The current president of the management board is Jacek Kołodziej, identified in the cooperative’s current website material as president and director.1 The organisation also states that its property-management services hold ISO 9001 certification.1
