Quintain Ireland, now rebranded as Evara since 2025, is a significant residential property developer operating in Greater Dublin. The company was established in 2019 by CEO Michael Hynes, launching with a pipeline of 9,000 new homes primarily in Dublin. It quickly became one of Ireland’s largest private developers, with land holdings in Adamstown, Clonburris, Portmarnock, and Cherrywood. Three of these sites are designated Strategic Development Zones, facilitating expedited development due to their national importance.
After securing a €100 million development loan in 2020, construction began on Quintain’s first residential project in Portmarnock. By 2022, the company had delivered 630 homes, making it Ireland’s largest private residential developer. That same year, Quintain completed its 1,000th home sale and received planning approval for its 5,000th unit. The Crossings in Adamstown, opened in 2023, represents a €500 million investment and comprises apartments, retail spaces, parks, and supporting community infrastructure.
Quintain Ireland partners with institutional investors, notably TPG as of 2024, and works with the Land Development Agency on affordable rental schemes, completing a forward sale of nearly 400 affordable rental homes. The company also launched its own construction arm, with a self-delivery project in Portmarnock for 172 homes. Quintain Ireland employs contemporary building methods, utilising timber frames for most low-rise housing and integrating digital construction technologies. Its developments focus on integrated communities with housing, retail, parks, and essential infrastructure, seeking to address housing demand in Dublin’s suburbs.
