Impact Bridge Asset Management is a Spanish investment management firm founded in 2018 by Arturo Benito and Íñigo Serrats. Headquartered in Madrid, with activities extending across Spain and Europe, the firm specializes in impact investing—deploying capital in projects that generate demonstrable social or environmental outcomes. Since inception, it has accrued more than €300 million in assets under management.
From the outset, Impact Bridge has focused on using debt financing to support social enterprises and institutions often overlooked by traditional equity investors. Its first fund, IB Impact Debt, launched in 2019, is an open-ended vehicle with €55 million under management, targeting a further €45 million in commitments. This fund primarily invests in impact funds and direct loans. In 2023, Impact Bridge introduced IB Deuda Impacto España, a closed-end fund raising €75 million at first close, with a target of €150 million, focused on expanding access to flexible capital for Spanish social enterprises.
Recent investments include Ilunion, a large employer of people with disabilities, and Moda re-, Spain’s major clothing recycler and social inclusion employer, the latter operating a workforce that includes individuals in Barcelona. Both companies retain full ownership while benefiting from adaptable debt financing. Impact Bridge’s investors include public entities such as the European Investment Fund and Instituto de Crédito Oficial, alongside private foundations and family offices.
The organization maintains close ties with academia, notably through the Impact Bridge-IE Chair in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing at IE University. Its team of 23 spans financial leaders and academic experts, five of whom are university professors. Through these activities, Impact Bridge claims to have influenced 12 million individuals and 200,000 companies to date.
