Hof Wonen is a housing association based in The Hague. It began operating on 1 January 2023, following the division of housing corporation Vestia, and describes itself as the city’s newest housing corporation.21 Its main office is at Loevesteinlaan 627 in The Hague.9
The organisation’s stated purpose is to provide good-quality homes in pleasant neighbourhoods for households on low or middle incomes and people in vulnerable circumstances. It rents, sells and manages housing in the Haaglanden region.1 Its work includes maintaining and improving existing homes, making them more energy-efficient, building new housing, keeping rents affordable and supporting neighbourhoods.1
The organisation’s published overview describes a portfolio of more than 19,000 homes in Haaglanden and a staff of about 240.1 A separate 2026 update says Hof Wonen has more than 23,000 rental units and is primarily active in The Hague, indicating that published portfolio figures vary by source or measure.21 Its geographic scope is therefore local and regional, centred on The Hague and the wider Haaglanden area.21
Hof Wonen is governed by a two-person executive board: Bert Halm, chair, and Karolien de Jager.11 The organisation works with tenants and people seeking housing, as well as partners, to address housing quality, affordability and neighbourhood conditions.18 Its LinkedIn profile lists 2023 as its founding year and identifies The Hague as its headquarters.3
