Gannon Homes is a Dublin-based property development company founded in 1984 by Gerry Gannon. Originating with small residential projects in North Wicklow and the outskirts of Dublin, the business has grown to become one of Ireland’s major housing developers. According to recently filed accounts, the company’s headquarters remain at Northumberland Road, Dublin 4.
Over more than four decades, Gannon Homes has built upwards of 15,000 new homes in the Dublin area alone. Major developments include Brackenstown in Swords (750 units), Malahide Marina (400 units and a 350-berth marina), Clarehall (900 units and a commercial center anchored by Tesco), and ongoing work at Clongriffin, a 148-acre site with potential for more than 3,500 homes and substantial commercial space. Other large projects such as Belcamp (1,200 units, sold out in 2020) and Mooretown in Swords (1,100 planned units) exemplify their output.
Alongside residential construction, Gannon Homes has developed office, retail, and leisure facilities, including the development and previous ownership of the K Club Golf Resort. The company weathered industry downturns, notably post-2007, adapting to economic cycles with a diverse portfolio and continued land investment.
Today, Gannon Homes continues work on large housing schemes and mixed-use developments, making it a longstanding presence in the Greater Dublin property market.
