Better Society Capital, formerly Big Society Capital, is a UK-based social impact investment organisation headquartered in London, England.56 It was established in 2012 as an independent financial institution intended to develop the UK social impact investment market and operate as a wholesale investor.24 The organisation was initially capitalised with funding from dormant bank accounts and shareholder banks, including an initial commitment of approximately £600 million.4
