Besqab AB, now operating under the unified Besqab brand, is a prominent residential developer with a primary focus on Greater Stockholm and Uppsala. The company in its current structure emerged from the 2024 merger between Aros Bostad (founded in 2006) and the original Besqab (founded in 1989). This merger combined the experience and portfolios of two established residential developers, resulting in a group that, as of year-end 2024, managed over 7,000 building rights and had 1,572 units in active production.
Besqab maintains around 110 employees after restructuring and seeks an ongoing production volume of at least 2,000 residential units. The business is divided into two segments: Project Development, covering both home ownership and rental properties, and Investment Properties, which includes managed rental apartments, care homes, and other community assets.
The company reported a gross margin target of 20% and an EBIT margin target of 15%. In 2024, it recorded a 77% sales rate in ongoing production, with only ten unsold completed units—a low inventory position compared to peers. Recent projects include the acquisition of 130 building rights at Ballongberget in Solna for SEK 151 million and the addition of rights in Stockholm’s Södermalm and Kungsholmen districts.
Besqab is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and had a market capitalization of approximately SEK 2.3 billion in 2025. The current CEO is Magnus Andersson, with headquarters in Danderyd, Stockholm.
