Nusle Brewery (Nuselský pivovar) is a major housing and mixed-use redevelopment based on the historic brewery site in Prague’s Nusle district. Originating as a baroque brewery built in 1694, it played an important role in Czech industrial history and local culture. After decades of disuse, the site has recently undergone a transformation led by Penta Real Estate, which combines restored heritage buildings with new residential and commercial additions.
The project covers approximately 32,000 square meters, featuring over 120 apartments ranging from studio units to large lofts and penthouses, each with outdoor spaces such as balconies or terraces. Modern architecture by CMC Architects and Chybík + Kryštof is blended with period elements, creating a high-quality urban environment. Residents benefit from green communal courtyards, relaxation zones, underground parking, and proximity to public transport and central Prague.
Ground floors house retail amenities including shops, cafés, restaurants, and essential services like a Czech Post office. Public areas have been activated by a central square, a footbridge over the Botič stream, and connections to surrounding neighborhoods. The development supports community life and offers high-standard living, with many apartments already sold.
Nusle Brewery stands as a successful example of repurposing historic industrial sites for contemporary urban living, preserving its legacy while revitalizing the district for a new generation.
