Social Nest Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2010 in Valencia, Spain, with a mission to support entrepreneurs and investors who develop solutions for social and environmental challenges. Over its 15 years of activity, the foundation has expanded its operations beyond Valencia, recently opening offices in Madrid to bolster its visibility and reach. The leadership team includes founder Margarita Albors, now serving as executive president, and Marta del Castillo as CEO, with a background in the social innovation and investment sector.
The organization’s network encompasses 670 startups, 800 investors, and 80 companies, with more than 16,000 people having participated in its programs and activities to date. Social Nest Foundation is particularly recognized for initiatives such as Horizonte Rural, focused on promoting rural entrepreneurship, and for convening “The Gap in Between”—a major annual international event in Valencia that gathers experts to address topics like climate action, regenerative agriculture, ethical AI, and financial inclusion. Proceeds from this 2025 event are being directed to post-disaster recovery in the Valencian region, in partnership with other local organizations.
