Kanozi Arkitekter, founded in 2001 in Gothenburg, Sweden, by Johan Casselbrant, Johan Norén, and Björn Siesjö, began as a small firm focused on architecture competitions. Daniel Hohenthal joined as co-owner in 2012, the same year Siesjö became Gothenburg's city architect. Now with around 60 employees across offices in Gothenburg and Malmö, the firm employs architects, engineers, and interior designers.
The group handles urban planning, building design, and interiors. Current projects include Region City, a 270,000 m² mixed-use district near Gothenburg Central Station, ongoing since 2012, planned for 30,000 residents and workplaces atop the Västlänken rail link. They are renovating the 1913 Hagabadet building into a hotel, set to open in summer 2027. Other work features Arena Platinan, a coworking space on Platinan hub's 12th floor with 190 flex desks and terraces, and the repurposed 1915 Brand Design Center brick structure into an open showroom. Amhult Travel Centre marks their transport designs.
Based at Järntorget 3 in Gothenburg, Kanozi contributes to the city's evolving skyline through strategic sites tied to infrastructure and heritage.
