Clúid Housing is an independent, not-for-profit housing association and an approved housing body (AHB) operating in Ireland. 11 Established in 1994, it provides affordable rented homes to people experiencing housing need and works with local authorities to house applicants on social-housing waiting lists. 26
The organisation was incorporated as St Pancras Housing Association (Ireland) on 26 January 1994 and adopted the name Clúid Housing Association in June 2001. 4 Its registered office is at 159–161 Sheriff Street Upper, North Wall, Dublin 1, Ireland. 4 Clúid operates nationally, with housing and development activity across Ireland; in 2024, it delivered homes across ten local-authority areas. 3
Clúid develops, owns and manages social, cost-rental and age-friendly housing. 311 Its activities include the delivery and management of rented homes, partnership with public authorities and developers, tenant and community engagement, and support for the creation of sustainable communities. 26 In 2024, it delivered 1,525 homes: 853 general-needs social homes, 408 cost-rental homes and 264 age-friendly social homes. 3
The organisation’s 2024 annual report identifies Brian O’Gorman as chief executive officer at that time. 4 Averil Power was appointed as his successor and took up the chief executive role in November 2025. 9 Clúid is governed by a voluntary 12-member board, which delegates day-to-day management to the chief executive and staff. 12
Clúid reported that it owned and managed more than 14,300 properties, housing over 36,600 people, in 2026. 11 Its geographic scope is national rather than local or international, with its work directed toward housing provision across the Republic of Ireland. 23
