Architecture Matters 2026 is an international conference celebrating its 10th anniversary, organized by plan A. Taking place on April 15-16, 2026, in Munich, Germany, it explores the theme "How to connect to an uncertain future?" amid geopolitical shifts, climate change, demographics, and AI.
The event opens with a reception on April 15 at 6:30 pm at Zirca Space (Dachauerstrasse 110c), followed by the main conference on April 16 from 9 am to 5 pm at House of Communication (Friedenstraße 24). It gathers stakeholders from architecture, real estate, industry, finance, politics, and administration for keynotes, panels, workshops, speed datings, and focus sessions on topics like Finance, AI, Phase Zero (regenerative practices), Light Industrial, Offices of the Future, and Female Focus for diversity.
Key speakers include Elizabeth Diller (Diller Scofidio + Renfro), Reinier de Graaf (OMA), Carlo Ratti (MIT), Martha Thorne, and Elisabeth Merk (Munich Planning Director).
