Housing Matters! by MIPIM x Co-Liv is a half-day summit that took place on March 11, 2024, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. The event was organised by RX in partnership with MIPIM and Co-Liv, a global association for co-living professionals.
This summit addressed urgent issues in the global housing sector, such as rapid urban population growth, shortages in housing supply, increasing prices, and housing inequality. The conference expanded its focus in 2024 beyond co-living, covering alternative residential sectors including single-family housing, student accommodation, build-to-rent, and later-living.
Housing Matters! brought together investors, developers, local authorities, urban experts, and associations from over 90 countries for networking and knowledge-sharing. Through interactive workshops, formal and informal sessions, participants discussed and generated practical solutions for affordable, sustainable, and innovative housing. The event highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships, regulatory reform, and design innovation to address worldwide housing challenges and foster more equitable urban futures.
