The Europe Housing Forum (EHF) 2024 took place in Warsaw, Poland, on April 16–17, 2024, and was organized by Habitat for Humanity. The event brought together a diverse range of stakeholders from across the housing sector—including policymakers, non-governmental organizations, researchers, private sector actors, and youth representatives—for interdisciplinary discussions and collaboration. The primary aim was to position housing as a key driver of sustainable cities and economic growth.
Under the theme “Decent and affordable housing without borders,” the forum addressed pressing issues such as affordable housing, energy poverty, climate resilience in housing, urban policy updates, and solutions tailored for vulnerable groups including refugees and young people. The program featured keynote speeches, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and a dedicated “Youth for Housing” delegate programme, which gave young people a platform in housing policy dialogues.
Partner organizations included UNHCR, the International Organization for Migration, and other international bodies, emphasizing the event's pan-European and global relevance. Participants explored innovative practices, financial models for housing renovation, and policies that advance access to decent and sustainable housing for all, with a strong emphasis on sharing knowledge and scaling up successful initiatives in Central and Eastern Europe.
