OpenLivingLab Days 2026 is the annual flagship conference of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), bringing together the international Living Lab community with public officials, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, and innovators. The 2026 edition is framed around the theme “Living Labs Impacts and Values for a Changing World”, which signals a focus on how living labs contribute to innovation, public policy, and responses to societal change.12
The event is designed as a broad professional and policy-oriented gathering rather than a single-track academic conference. According to the event description, its purpose is to provide a platform for networking, exchanging best practices, collaborating on cutting-edge projects, and reflecting on recent trends shaping a regenerative future.1 The programme combines a dedicated policy event, panel discussions, workshops, research paper presentations, networking activities, and site visits to Belgian Living Labs, giving it a practical as well as strategic dimension.13
The 2026 edition will take place in Belgium, starting in Brussels with a Policy Event on 29 September 2026, then continuing in Antwerp from 30 September to 2 October 2026. The Brussels opening is intended to foster high-level dialogue between EU institutions and the Living Lab community, while the Antwerp sessions will include research presentations and interactive conference formats.136
A notable feature of this edition is its link to policy discussion around the European context, including the presentation of impact results to support EU policymaking and future funding programmes.3 The event is also co-organised with LiCalab – Living & Care Lab at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, which joined ENoLL as co-organiser in April 2026.3
