Co-Liv is a global non-profit organization established to advance the development and recognition of the co-living sector. With a base in Paris and a reach that spans more than 50 countries, Co-Liv functions as a platform for professionals, operators, and advocates involved in shared living solutions.

Founded in the late 2010s, Co-Liv describes itself as an “ecosystem and do-tank” dedicated to empowering the co-living phenomenon. The organization acts as a network hub, connecting a diverse community of industry experts, architects, operators, and policymakers. This includes running conferences, conducting research, and offering consultancy support related to regulatory, operational, and design challenges facing modern co-living projects.

Leadership at Co-Liv features figures such as Marta Rocamora Gonzalez, who serves as Chief Operating Officer and is also CEO of Grounded Innovation, alongside regional ambassadors who run initiatives in countries across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Members of the advisory board and network include architects recognized for innovative coliving projects, such as Cutwork’s Flatmates in Paris and Station F.

Co-Liv runs regular events — from summits like the annual MIPIM Co-Liv Summit to webinars and podcasts — bringing together operators and policymakers to discuss sector trends and regulatory issues. Topics have recently included the complexities of French coliving regulations and the growing demographic diversity of shared living.

The organization operates on a membership and donation basis, supporting its mission to influence policy, set standards, and advocate for best practices in co-living worldwide.
