The 10th European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns (ESCT) will take place from October 1 to 3, 2024, in Aalborg, Denmark. This event marks the 30th anniversary of the Aalborg Charter and the 20th anniversary of the Aalborg Commitments. The conference will focus on how Local Green Deals are making the EU Green Deal a reality across Europe. It will bring together over 1000 local leaders and urban stakeholders to discuss ongoing trends, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable urban development.
Key topics include the potential of local governments to shape a new sustainable urban reality and how working with key partners and accommodating frameworks at multiple levels can be powerful enablers. The conference will feature over 200 speakers, including experts from various fields such as circular economy, climate policy, and urban development.
